HistoryHellfire Academy was founded in 1792 as a safe place for vampires to learn about things that would later make them successful in life. It was built over a period of three years and was made with the ideas of vampire comfort in mind. It had tinted windows and long black curtains designed to keep out ultra violet rays. Many of these comforts are kept today with modern tweaks.
As the school became more known for it's safe environment, more vampires settled in the area to keep their children safe. A city grew, thriving on the needs of the vampires. Many families still send their children to Hellfire, though a few do live in the town. Hellfire has been ranked as the number one vampire school in the country. Though many apply - even humans attempt to - only vampires are accepted.
The current Headmistress is December Elena Belikova, a Russian noble. She was the former Professor of Mythology.
